Famillie Isabelle Ferrando
A chance meeting at a wine fair, where Emily and Isabelle bonded over a shared love of jewellery.
Isabelle Ferande and her daughter Guillemette are women intent on growing reshaping the image of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. She took over her family’s vines with a determination to prove that this historic appellation still has new stories to tell. Isabelle has a hands-on style. She knows her parcels of land intimately, walking them daily, reading the rhythm of the stones, wind, and vines. Her philosophy is simple: let the terroir speak, but don’t be afraid to guide it with a modern touch.
Working on relatively small plots in a region famous for its prestige and history, Isabelle stands out for her humility. She’s less concerned with chasing scores and more focused on making wines that feel alive, expressive, and welcoming at the table. Her cellar is a mix of old oak and thoughtful innovation, always leaning toward elegance and freshness rather than sheer power. That balance between tradition and individuality, strength and grace is what defines her wines.

Emiy’s favourite. Bright red and dark fruit — cherries and raspberries — with floral lift and gentle garrigue herbs. Good freshness and soft tannins make it easy to drink with food. A well-made Côtes-du-Rhône that feels local and lively.
